The Dark Room 3.0 is an Open Exhibition of the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival, showcasing and celebrating the art of analog and alternative process photography.
We’ve gathered works from over 50 emerging and established artists who are preserving the knowledge and practices of classic photography and testing the boundaries of this art form.  Processes on display will include 35 mm film, pinhole, uranotype, Polaroid, wet plate, silver gelatin, cyanotype, platinum prints and more!
Our Preview Celebration on April 24 will be your chance to decide which of these works get to be displayed during our official two-week exhibition from May 2-15! Artists selected for the two-week exhibition will be eligible for cash prizes and awards generously provided by our sponsors and partners.

Public Preview Celebration & Voting:  Thurs April 24, 12 noon – 11 pm
Exhibition Dates:  Friday May 2 – Thursday May 15
Gallery hours 11 am – 4 pm, and to 8 pm on Fridays

This image from my Stilleven Series was chosen by Christopher James as one of the 25 images on display for “The Alternative Approach” exhibit at the Keirnan Gallery in Lexington, Virginia.
And yes it is the Christopher James who wrote the textbook on alt photography process!
